Frankie Cosmos: Vessel Vinyl LP

Vessel is the 52nd release from Greta Kline, the 3rd studio LP under her darling moniker/outfit, Frankie Cosmos. Since she first started sharing self-recorded projects in 2011, the New York native's profile has grown substantially. With Vessel, which follows 2014's Zentropy and 2016's Next Thing, Kline presents her most complex, mature work, a natural and welcome progression as a larger, broader audience pays attention to the singer-songwriter. The "succinctly sincere nature" of Kline's songwriting, however, is readily retained. And that very aspect, combined with Kline's employing of a range of instrumentations and recording methods not found on previous efforts, is what make Vessel another must-listen, check out: "Apathy," "Jesse," "Being Alive," and "Accommodate."
