On the 4 tracks of Shem Vol. 1 they're able to go beyond the typical techno/house conventions and hit elements of no wave, krautrock, and ethno-tribal music while still keeping your feet moving (or head nodding) on the dancefloor. Check the minimalist, DAF-esque sound of "Na Da," the mesmerizing "Balma," the heavy melodic arpeggios of "Nu," and the mystic vibes of "Spider Feel." Four tracks -  all unique, all good.
