Conspiracy theorists say technology and ideas develop in linear motion. TVs started with sound only (radio), then color, then stereo sound, then remote control, then digital etc. Once in a while shit pops out of nowhere (i.e. stealth bomber) and changes everything and pushes things forward in an unforeseeable giant step. This unforeseeable step makes people uncomfortable or paranoid like our conspiracy theorist.
